Recap Time! - October 2011 in Review

So, are you ready for a recap of the great moments of October - December 2011?  Here we go!

An exciting week of October was when I was thrown into the Scottish country side for a three day, team building, mentally challenging experience.  Now, I have been to such events before but those events were usually in the heat of a Texas summer.  I thought I was prepared for team building and challenging activities.  Well, when you take postgraduate, international marketing students and throw in some Scottish rain and cold, things get ugly.  Luckily we made it through a day of ropes courses, holding on to each others' lifelines, as teammates climbed ladders, scaled trees, and trusted each other with our lives.  We even went through a day of puzzles and activities which further tested our ability to work as a team.  It ended up being a great way to start thinking about future challenges of working as groups for class activities and assignments.

All suited up for a day in the Scottish weather!

After the week of outdoor activities, we had an excuse to celebrate with two birthdays.  Johana has become a great friend to me through this year and I'm so glad our birthdays fall just a day apart.  After being at BlueSky, we had a class birthday party!  It was a great evening and a wonderful birthday.  A group of international students sure know how to make a birthday, even away from home, a memorable one.

Up next, a recap of November. . .

Oh, the Places I Have Gone

If someone had told me a year ago, all of the places I would have the opportunity to see, I wouldn't have believed them.  These past seven months have held more adventures, travels, friendships, and experiences then I could have hoped for.  And I still have at least four more months to go!  The only thing with so many adventures is I have been neglecting this blog.  I am hoping to catch you up on where I have been but that is in no way a guarantee.  To keep you entertained, here are some photos of the past few months and some great quotes from Dr. Seuss.  I hope you have had some great adventures of your own!
